When you arrive at Antioch Galveston on Sunday

We gather at our church building on the corner of 53rd St. & Avenue R. You should see a flag out on the corner with our name on it, and greeters at the doors to welcome you in. There is a parking lot beside the main building on Avenue R, where you can park, but if that is full you can park anywhere on the street.

What to expect when visiting for the first time

You’re welcome to arrive and leave on time, but you’ll find many of us come early to service and stay late as we enjoy the community God is building. We normally worship for 40-50 minutes intermitted with offerings, ministry time and taking communion together followed by a scripture informed, Christ-centered message. We want to create a space where you can meet with God and authentically respond to him.

Commonly Asked Questions

  • We recommend arriving a little early. Typically, arriving 10 to 15 minutes early will give you time to park, fill a cup with coffee and choose your seat with time to spare!

  • We have a parking lot beside our main building on Avenue R, but if it’s full you can park along the street. If you need help carrying babies or because you or a loved one has special ability needs, please let us know and one of our greeters will lend you a hand getting to your seat.

  • Our services are typically two-hours long, and include contemporary worship, communion, a message from the bible and a response time.

  • Come as you are! Our members and visitors dress in anything from their Sunday best, to scrubs after getting off night shift, to jeans and flip flops. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

  • After registering your children in the Antioch Kids area (enter through the parking lot for fastest access), your kids will join us for worship and offering before they are released to go with our Kids ministry leaders. Through fun play and exploration, worship, and multi-sensory learning, our kids will learn about God’s great story and their place within it, while being cared for by trained leaders who seek to model Jesus’s love and truth. If you are coming with kids, let us know by pressing the “plan your visit” button and let us know how many tiny humans you’ll be bringing so we can be ready for you, and meet with you to help them get registered!

What do we believe?

Our theology in a word: Jesus.

We want to be like Him, live according to his ways and introduce others to Him. We believe the Bible. We study it not for knowledge alone, but to be holistically transformed into the likeness of Jesus.
